Mike Taylor was born in Canton Georgia, just North of Atlanta, and move to Houston before he was 2 years old. His parents found Houston to be full of opportunity with a good job market and friendly people. Mike’s parents worked hard to instill a strong work ethic in Mike and his sister while growing up and re-enforced that work ethic by example.
Mike feels that Houston is a very diverse city with wonderful people and a lot to offer. In regards to employment, he understands that it takes a lot of hard work to get to the top and doesn’t feel that “big business” has a place in government. In fact, Mike is considered by his peers to be a “normal guy” with a burning desire to make changes that will positively effect each of his living and breathing supporters, not the deep pockets of corporate America.
Because Mike is a man of strong conviction and not just another “corporate elitist” with years of political corruption at his fingertips, he considers himself incredibly fortunate to find many supporters encouraging him to make a difference. Mike, with Libertarian leaning ideas has shown to be a beacon of light for the future of our nation in that there is hope for his children to continue living in a free society. With that, Mike Taylor is proud to be a strong supporter of individual liberties and fiscal responsibility in the government ranks and looks forward to showing the people he will represent what freedom and prosperity should be.
Mike Taylor is a follower in the beliefs of the late David F. Nolan who understood the need to maximize individual liberties and minimize government waste.
